We are getting snow as I write, Pictures later but first I've to take the dogs out in it. What is it about snow that is so nice, at least to me, it is peaceful and soft.

Looks like we have about 2" so far and I'm suppose to have a doctors appt this afternoon, the wife hates driving in it and I love to.

You can have as much as you want just keep it up your way if you don't mind.  :smilewink:   According to the news it looks like those of you in the mid-west are having a tough time of it with the storm.  I hope everyone is alright and safe.

We got a little, but it's still warm enough here that it is melting away.

Hard to clear a soft gravel drive.  Pile is a LOT taller now!  Even with oversized skids, they dig in.  ~~  Lowell

Well this thing has changed track a bit to the north. Yesterday they was saying Des Moines would get 1-2". At 730 they were saying 3-4 and now at 10:46 they are saying 6" . I don't see any hint of it stopping and we already have 4".

It took me an hour and a half to get to work this morning (45 miles).

Dick, I'm glad you are enjoying your snow.  It usually is peaceful for me too.

I went to camp over the weekend and enjoyed it there.  I snow shoe hunted.  I snow shoed with the fiance to a bonfire at night and then we snow shoed the next day on some frozen ponds.

There was almost two feet to have fun with.  The best was when the year round neighbor had snowblown a path right to our door and turned the heat on in the morning before we got there.

We love the snow too, which is a good thing since we get six months of it! L.O.L.  Strong wind with it is another story.

Well it is official, The weatherman was way wrong! I have about 6 inches of snow and it is not supose to stop till noon toomorrow.
I left work at 2:30 and got home about 3:30. Got on the Blue Mule and came in about 5:00 Bladed the drive and lane, the asphalt drive is solid ice. Wife got the Ford stuck she is a good driver, but when she gets pissed nothing good will come of it.
So she shut it down. I was looking for my lost cell phone,so when I got to where the truck was stuck I got it out and drove it to the garage. I did find the phone!! Looks like another morning of getting up at 5:00 to dig out in the morning?

JRJ I doo not think I am enjoying this as much as you are.
GRNSPOT: There is a little mud up here too. I set the stop on my 3 point juust above surface so i am not digging in the mud.

We are expecting several inches of the wet, sloppy heavy stuff.....Not as much fun as the light fluffy snow.
