I have 1 peking and 4 mallards. My Mallards have NEVER migrated and stay around for the winter. I will never own another peking because they are very prone to predator attacks. The mallards can take flight to get away from predators. My male peking recently got attacked by a Raccoon and killed. It's amazing to watch my mallards take flight and see them fly over in formation. They do lay eggs but due to me not having a male mallard they are never fertilized.

If anybody feels like checking out my new girls, here is the link to the webcam I have going.

It's free to watch, but you might have an advertisement to watch (30 seconds) or a code to enter to bypass advertisement. Sorry, I don't know another free website to avoid it!

Okay, I was anxious, so I let them try out their shallow pool today.

Sadly the webcam doesn't show the duckies this time. But I found this mech-duck.jpg

it's the mechanicel duck from Jacques des Vaucanson, built 1738 in france - but how will it taste?

I shut the webcam off to give the spare laptop some "rest". It will be back on tonight. I always check on them in the middle of the night on my phone.
