Hey 8:00 am this morning I was at my John deere dealer ship to help for school, got out in far back an saw headlights, Thinking ok a 110 or 112, no 140 H3, What is a good price for 140? I know ebay people think $1,000 or more.

Looks like it's been there a while. I'm not sure what to tell you. I have never seen one for sale here. The H3 is more desirable than the h1 and demands a higher price but so much depends on the condition of the tractor.

It depends on if the engine is free. The condition of the pump. Need to check if it has water in the hydro fluid. Check the driveshaft for play. Those things are great. I have an H1 that I love. Where abouts is it? What kinda weather has it been sitting thru? Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk 2

Kinda hard to say without more info. The hood looks decent. It looks like the front tire is off the rim. If the back tires hold air and aren't too weatherchecked they are worth something. The seat cover doesn't look to be cracked just really faded. If the engine is free, I would think anywhere between $200-$400.

Edit: You say you saw headlights. If the plastic bezel around those is in good shape that would add to the value some also. They are rather hard to find.

Just by looking at it from what i can see  i personally wouldn't go over $300.If we had a little more detail that would help also.

Is the engine free? Complete? Deck solid?

If yes to all of those then I would say $300 ish.

I just gave $350 for a complete '82 314. I gave $550 for my complete 120 with a newer engine and rebuilt hydro.

Running in need of repairs? $500

Tons of parts there that could be sold to make money but I would hate to see that.

Kevin,

That tractor almost appears to be a 1968, so if the motor is free and transmission moves, I'd go as high as $600.00. That tractor is complete, and the mower deck looks to be in good shape. The deck might need new spindles, but that's cosmetics in my book. If I had the extra money, room, and if it was in my neighborhood, I'd be all over it.

Good luck to you, and hope it works out for you. Keep us posted.

Look for the serial tag location.  If it is not in the normal place then it is a side tag machine where the tag is located on the right side of the pedestal behind the hood.

I'd say $400-500 if running. If not deduct a fair amount. If it looks good under the hood, I'd give you about the $400ish range. How's the wiring harness and starter? Transmission? Other tires? Also just about anything under the hood.
