Guess there's no fool like an old fool, but we're back to having pups in the bathroom again. Kawasi and Asia, the Tibetan Mastiffs, have four boys and three girls. Like most babies it seems, they chose to make their appearance in the wee small hours of the morning, finishing up around 4:30 a.m. Kawasi said she had finished writing that book and stretched out beside her five babies, heaved a contented sigh and went to sleep. We dragged ourselves off to bed. Got up at the crack of eight a.m. and went to check on mom and kids---- she had changed her mind and wrote a short sequel, two more pups! I think we've got her stopped now though.Mom and babies doing fine, Asia doesn't have a clue that he's a dad,  and we're sure enjoying watching seven little black and tan puppies just a gruntin' and a squeekin' and a drinkin' milk. There's nothing quite like "puppy breath" is there?IMG_0483.JPG IMG_0485.JPG

Wow. That's a good sized litter. Will you sell them or keep them around?

If you keep them, after they are grown you could harness them all, attach to front of GT, pulling a gang mower.

Maybe a 7 footer! But I think maybe gasoline would be cheaper than feed. Great looking litter!

Three were spoken for before they were born, we may keep one, we're not sure yet. As far as we know, this is the only litter of T.M.s born in Canada this year, and Kawasi is pretty special--- she was the top Tibetan Mastiff in Canada in both 2010 and 2011. She's  top in our hearts, dog shows or not.

This is a post I shall not share with my wife and kids. If you think it's hard to keep me from looking at (and bringing home) a GT then you've never seen to love my family has for dogs. If you lived up the road I'm sure we'd have 5 of them....of course based on their lineage I'm sure I would also have to rob a bank and sell off my GT heard. Thanks for posting. Would love to see more pics in the weeks to come.

Congrats on the new additions. Puppies are cute. But they look like they might get quite large!

We just went through the same thing. 2 girls and 5 boys. Ours were in the utility room closet. Thankfully my Son has them all now. Ours were a lot smaller though. Min-Pin and Jack Russell cross. Good luck with your brood. Gonna be some big kids when they grow up. :D

Thanks guys, so far they look like their four legged dad, but I'm starting to notice some Olde Deere #1 personality traits --- they want their breakfast on time, their blanket warm, and their sleep undisturbed!  Yeah, they get fairly big, some males up to 32" and 160+ lbs. but nothing like a Great Dane or Irish Wolfhound. Will keep you posted as they grow and start to get cute and cuddly. (dare I say like O.D.#2 ??) lol

Cute pups!  And some people think I'm crazy when I say I love "puppy breath"!  So I'm not alone!
