The seat and steering wheel would get attended to, I would be mostly mowing and using it to tend my garden.  For the price in this area its a good deal.  But that being said, nobody is jumping at buying my wheel horse.  So for now that will be my worker.  I asked him about the mower deck, since my last Bolens had gear box issues on the mower deck among other issues. Being able to show the tractor comes second to being able to mow the yard and work the garden.   If anybody knows someone that is into wheel horses or has something else they wanna swap for the horse. please let me know.   Mike

Thanks, Brian, for catching my typo. :rocker2:    ....I knew that, but my fingers were working faster than my brain! :mad2:

Now, is it a Bolens One Thousand, or a Bolens Ten Hundred ??   :D     .....I always called it the "One Thousand," but I saw some Bolens paperwork that referred to it as the "ten hundred."  :(  ....The Bolens sales people called it the "One Thousand."  :thumbs:

I guess the people who worked for the Bolens Company weren't so good with math and didn't know their numbers...  1000 is ONE THOUSAND.  Seems the dealers knew that much at least, lol...  I'd think only a retard would say that 1000 was "ten hundred".  But I know that Bolens was trying to go with a naming convention as well, which is understandable...

650 = Six Fifty

750 = Seven Fifty

850 = Eight Fifty

1050 = Ten Fifty (Not One Thousand Fifty, I know...)

as well as all the:

600 = Six Hundred

700 = Seven Hundred

800 = Eight Hundred

900 = Nine Hundred

1000 = "Ten Hundred" = Fits with their naming convention at least.  But it just sounds stupid since we are all used to numbers and 1000 is ONE THOUSAND...

Those are my thoughts on the topic at least...  I know we are getting way off topic from trying to sell a Wheel Horse to buy a Bolens though, but....  Sorry, lol!

since my last Bolens had gear box issues on the mower deck

I know what you mean those gears are hard to get and real pricey on ebay,and it has been like 26 years since they made real Bolens.Another way of looking at it it has been a quarter of a century,just finished my deck made one out of two.75 for the first deck 50 for the second plus bearings and ilder pulleys, one thing about Wheel Horse it is all belt drive. Still I don,t smoke or live in the casino it is a useful hobby to have. Cheers Mike
