I can never resist  buying something that is a bit different. I've been looking for a VW Camper Van and found this instead so it came home with me today. He wanted to much for it so I showed him I bought it anyway ...

It's a 1987 Mitsubishi Van Wagon. They're pretty rare, Imported from 87 to 91 in limited #s.

4 cylinder gas engine 2.4  with a 4 speed automatic trans and rear wheel drive.

In Japan they made these with a turbo diesel and 4wd, there called Delica,

Nice! I vaguely remember those but they were rare indeed. Can the current Mitsu. dealers get you parts for it?

That is a pretty neat van.  Yes, I'm curious too.  Is it like the camper van you were looking for?

If the vans a rocking, don't come knocking........................................ :bigrofl:

P.S. I read somewhere they were leaving the North American market, lack of sales over the last three or four years.

Like all things in life sometimes there are tradeoffs. I spent the money set aside for the Camper Van to pick this up.. Soo come spring my beloved 69 vw sunrunner will be up for sale. Here are a couple of pics of the inside. The Middle row of seats slide and can rotate 3180 Degrees to face either forward or backwards ?? I'm considering putting a camper interior in it but I have a popup  that I rebuilt/remodeled a few years ago..

It is nice inside, but no camper.  I had a van once.  Loads of room in the middle if I took out the middle bench seat.

Dave is right, lots of room once those seats are out! Hmm... is that side door wide enough for a GT?

Cool van! I found a KEI Mitsu van that had an 18" bed that I thought I really needed, the wife thought differently. Now I look on the web and find a KEI camper!

I know of a guy out west from my Jeep forum that has 4 of the Westfalia's, he loves them. He has the one with the lift up roof, pretty cool little vans.
