Nice upgrade Will, looks like a real improvement.

I would say that damage could happen pretty easy in a panic stop. Mash on the brake and yank on the go Back handle.

Does anyone know what size drive belt they have on their 12H?

Agco says part# 514891M1 . Jack's makes that to be a 1/2" x 82"

So I got one. 82" can't be right. I found a carboard belt wrapper, from when

I resto'd the 12H. It says 84".

Depending on the brand of belt, the belt # may read 84, but actually be 82" long.

Will I just went and checked mine.  It's an 82" belt.  Says A80K  and 1/2x82 on it.

That's a Pix belt?

Orange on white on the sleeve?

The one I got today, is a Dayco 82".

Tomorrow, I'll see if a Dayco 84" fits.

I know what the problem is... You guys up North are supposed to be using metric, aren't ya? :poke:

Will, is your belt tightener moving all the way? Any of the mechanism bent or out of whack?

I've gone through all the mechanism. Everything is in order there. With the tensioner pulley lifted up all

the way and tied up, it's a challenge to get that Dayco 82" on to the engine PTO pulley.

Sounds a bit on the snug side. Hope the 84 is a better fit.

We'll know later.

Yesterday, I spent about an hour and a half, on my knees, in the snow, wrenching the brake parts

some missing tin, and 2 pulleys off a couple of my carcass mf12s. Darn that was cold on the

fingers. I've gotta go back today. I missed getting the rear pulley shroud.

Just a passing thought, but could the tensioner pulley be a bit large and causing the tight belt?

No Kenny, when it's pulled up all the way, it barely touches the belt, and there is

zero slack in the belt. I think, as Dan said, it's a belt size/label/manufacturer issue.
