I got this 56 RER at an estate auction last Fall:

HPIM2510 (Custom).JPG

It was listed as "not running", two of the family members told me after I bought it that they had driven it the day before! Brought it into the shop today to start the restoration:

It appears to be in pretty good shape for it's age. First thing will be adding electric start, it has the ring gear & mounting holes. I'll make a battery tray, have a starter, solenoid & switch. After that; new tires, cleanup & repaint & new decals, plus whatever else it needs. ~~ Lowell

Step 1 - Admit you have a problem:  You don't have enough JD's to work on.

Step 2 - Fix problem: Buy more JD's to repair

Step 3 - Repeat as necessary. No problems.

I had planned on a "self-propelled dump cart", but since this one is in overall good condition with a running (correct) engine, it's being restored as close to original as I can!

Painted some small parts today, need to work on the rims next.  ~~  Lowell
