Well its been a while since ive posted but i came across a decent deal on a nice looking 1811.
I am buying this for 2 reasons. So i have a reference for my pulling tractor project 682 diesel. And to have it around the house as a mower and will be getting rid of the current jd L110. I never use the blower anymore so i will just use the blade if needed. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1361065352.738170.jpg
What do you guys think? Not bad for $700?

Passed on the tractor. It is absolutly beat to hell. Looks like a basket case and doesnt come with the bar tires that are in the pic. He thinks that the blade alone is worth 500. I couldnt get him to budge a dollar on the price ($700) so i walked away.

Anybody know of any '82 series tractors for sale around mn? I would absolutly love a 982d but will probably just end up building one.

Too bad. Your right though,$500 is way more than a blade is worth.

You are gonna have to build your own 982D.  It was a model that was never built by CCC.  Easiest wat to do it is to buy a 1572 or 1772 and repaint it IH red.  The other way  would be to get either a regular 982 or a newer gas powered super and then put in a diesel of your choice.  Get your own decals made up for it and bam you got a 982D of your own.  I know there are a few 982D's out there that have been built by people.  Will make one heck of a garden tractor when done.

My dad owns an IH built 982 and it is a beast of a machine.

Sorry the deal didn't work out for you.

Yea i am going to build one eventually.
It would just be nice to get a diesel with power steering and remote hyd. An not have to deal with it.
The problem with me building it is that it wont be stock and i will want to pull it. :)

Personally I guess at this point I would drop cash on any diesel gt right now as long at it is within my budget.

Did the 782D on the St. Cloud cl finally sell? That one was at what, $2500?, for quite a while. My BIL got a nice 782D out by Morris two years ago for a little over two with a blower, tiller, and deck. Came with everything except PS.

I did find this 1282 in st.cloud with a 46" deck that is probably a 44" and a 42" single stage blower for $950.
What do you guys think?
