Hey guys anyone out in Garden tractor world have a manual for a early Ford or Jacobson I picked this sickle mower up and it is set up for a tractor that does not have an electric pto. I was wondering if they used this on all of the models or if it was made different for the tractor I have

According to the information that I have, the 401B was for the Ford LGT-100

The 401D was for the  1964-1971 Jacobsen/Ford 8, 10, 12, and 14 Hp tractors.

I have 29 different Haban Sickle-Mo manuals, but unfortunately, not the 401B or 401D.

Haban was great for using a basic design, and then adapting to be used across a number of lines.

I have 2 Haban Sickle-Mos. A 414 and a 405A, which are PTO shaft driven as opposed to belt driven.  The 414 was supposed to be for some of the Wheel Horse tractors and the 405A is for the Bolens tube frame tractors.  The 414 is actually just a 405A with a mule drive and and added bracket to make it mount on the front axle of the Horses. I took the bracket off, and it mounted right on to my Bolens G10.

Looking at yours it appears that they did the same thing.  I can see the u-bolts on the main unit that are to let it hang on the front axle. The hanger at the rear of the unit attaches to the tractors tow bar/tab. The mule drive then mounted on the tractor frame and drove the basic unit.

You say 1450, but 1450 WHAT?

A shot of the tractor might help. If your Jake is shaft drive then you basically don't need that right angle drive. The belt would attach to your pto.

I am a memeber there but there is no info for the Haban for the fords or Jacobsons I have been looking all over there is bound to be some somewere

A shot of the tractor might help. If your Jake is shaft drive then you basically don't need that right angle drive. The belt would attach to your pto.

Here is a pic of the Jacobson it will use the angle drive but my tractor has a eletric pto and this Haban is set up to be used on a tractor thay uses someother way to turn on the pto was hopeing someone would have a manual to see if they did some thing different on tractor like mine
