So ive beentossing around the idea of either airbrushing the jd logo on the hood or maybe some flames. Anyone have any thoughts about this or does anyone have a custom painted hood or complete gt thats either airbrushed or something else?

It's your tractor so you can paint it up any way you want. If you've got the talent to air brush the hood then I say go for it. I saw a jd317 recently that was painted like a patio tractor with a yellow hood. Just that change in colour was a really nice look. Not sure about flames though!

Here is a few pics of one that I did years ago. Just playing around with free hand flames, this hood was laying there and decided to use it.

If you were to paint a plastic hood you best use some adhesion promoter to make sure to paint sticks to the plastic.

I'm a BIG fan of individualizing your GT to meet your needs or suit your fancy. With that, I believe there are tasteful ways to express one's uniqueness. My vote is tasteful self-expression.......I can't wait to see the results.

Airbrush an eight point buck on the hood, so it looks like a hunters head mount.

I like the idea of an airbrushed buck head ! It really would take a lot of work to airbrush a logo on it . If you just want a jd logo on the hood any sign shop can make custom sizes for you.

Just as a heads up.. Unless you have have a bit of experience a buck head is one of the more difficult animals to paint.. I have a fair amount of experience airbrushing mainly on T Shirts, Hard surfaces are more difficult than cloth or canvas.  This is one that I had considered doing on a GT Hood. This one is Airbrushed btw.
