Mine does have a rather large 4 blade impeller, maybe that's why it has the gearbox. Mine was driven as yours is , but I adapted it to my Ford LGT so it would use a driveshaft. Hooks on in seconds to a custom quick hitch that I made up using one from an early 80's craftsman.

That's great. Good job adapting it. 

 

I have a Berco blower waiting to be put on something. Big, heavy toad. The videos I've seen of them are pretty impressive. 

 

I should really get my MTD 990 running and put it on that. Hydrostatic drive and hydraulic lift.
