Had an ad on C.L. for some mower decks.  Got a phone call wanting to know about the decks but doesn't want to buy them.  (??)  Turns out he (Larry S.) saw the town i live in and was hoping to contact someone else who lives here.(Larry R.).   I know (Larry R.) quite well and tell (Larry S.) that I'll get his number and call him back.  I call (Larry R.) and he says yes give him my number.  I call (Larry S.) we talk for a while and it turns out he has a Wheel Horse 857 for sale.   Guess where I went today...............Yep you're right .  150 mile round trip and I have another Wheel Horse.  (Larry S.) turns out to be a good guy. We spent over an hour checking out his G.T.'s ,  a nice street rod ,  toys  and a wall covered with L.P. album covers. Turns out we've been to tractor shows together. I recognized some of his G.T.'s and he was describing some of mine. But we had never met.   enough talk here's your Pics.

Rick

I also got some paperwork that has been with the tractor since new.  The quality control tag was stamped by #722.  If needed I can scan the manuals and send a file.  Rick

The original hood got scrunched and replaced, the steering wheel was replaced. there was a clearance problem with the hood latch so it got ground down for clearance.  She runs good and mows well.  It has a 36" rear discharge deck.  Rick

Nice looking addition to your herd and you have a new friend to boot.  Great find, looks to be in real good shape.
