Hello All,

Does anyone know if a front Axle from a R70 (R72/R92) Riding mower will fit into a S82 model?

Regards,

- Mark

JD parts shows:

R72 front axle is part # AM34486

S82 front axle is part # AM37389

Two different part numbers lead me to believe they will not directly swap.

Hi Travis,  Yes I also just found the parts as well on the John Deere parts lookup.  They appear to be very similar and may actually fit, but definitely are different.

Thank you again.

Here is a PDF that I put together comparing the two models.

Ok, did not know if you have used JDParts...

That being said, I would consider swapping the entire sub-assembly if I tried it.

Hi Travis,  I have some R70 parts that I am parting out.  In particular a Front Axle with Tie rod ends, Steering wheel, and front wheels on rims.
