Can some of you give me ideas of what new engines would be a good and fairly easy repower engine for my G9 855 It has a 8 hp Briggs on it now . All I use it for is snow blowing . Would like it to have elec. start and alt. big enough to run a light and keep battery charged . Prefer Briggs engine .

Thanks for any ideas .

Whats Wrong with the engine thats in it?

Briggs parts can still be purchased to do a rebuild if thats what your engine needs.

find fly wheel and a 10 amp alternator and regulator bolt it on the engine and away you go check Joe's outdoor power or Bob's lawn and garden

The exhaust seat is loose , have staked it once ,didn't last long . It has also lost most all compression and was always a real pain to start . If I can find an older 10 hp would mounting holes be the same as the 8 hp ?
