I am working on a GIL 33470A.  The short story is that the spindle must have met a strong stationary object in full stride and ripped a gap through the axle.  It may be weldable, or then again it may not be weldable.  I am preparing for the worst: does anyone have one lying loose?

If I can get it welded, I will need the two spaces that hold the spindle in place.  They are made of pot metal.  I will need the top and the bottom.  Unfortunately I do not have an IPL at my hand for this engine to give you a part number.

This axle pivots at the front under the muffler, and has a square brace that runs under the engine to a second pivot.

If someone has one (preferably near the Shenandoah Valley, VA) I will be glad to hear from you if you could shoot me a PM.

Thank you!

Ben Wagner
