power ho (2).jpg

Here is my Power Ho Deluxe at work in the garden.  My son is standing by it trying to help dad.  It is all original, I have a Cultivator, moldboard plow, and a snow blade,  The tires are filled with calcium and I have wheel weights.  My parts machine has a sleeve hitch bolted to it, which appears to be a bolens piece????

Nice Power Ho. A suggestion since you know how to upload pics, just below the "Chose Files" button is the advanced uploader. That will allow you to upload 10 pics at a time!

Thanks for the Pictures

Nice Looking Machine!

Since your planning to restore it I would not put calcium back in those tires. Most of the time the rims are rotted through when you find these, but looks like yours are still fairly solid.

Do you have a closeup picture of the "Sleeve hitch" your referring to?

Very nice original PH. Looks like your son is into gardening. It's a great thing to get him interested in. I still remember helping when I was a boy!

very cool.  I have a 1948 power-ho that will be a project before too long.  I just like the style of them and the fact I can make something so old, new again.

Nice looking walk behind  Doesn't look to be in to bad of shape, should be an easy restore.

I'm thinking the "sleeve hitch" is the hitch for attaching a riding sulky or trailer, could be wrong. A couple of pics would help figure it out.

My sons (have two, 4 & 5)  the younger is in the picture, They love to be outside and help out and ride on the tractor or lawn mower.  The extent of restore on this machine will be determined on the amount of time available before I need it in the garden this spring.  I also have several farm tractors to work on before spring field work.  I will need to replace one tire for sure, it has been leaking for a while now, hoping the wheel are good enough to reuse.  I would like to put new tires on and will probably fill them with antifreeze instead of  calcium.  If someone had a paint code for the darker yellow for my wheels would be great, otherwise the paint guy and I will have to guess, maybe school bus yellow would be a good start!  I would also like to find a few more attachments if possible, disc, sulky, trailer, sickle mower, ect
