It appears it was short blocked in 1998 and parked In approx 2008. The serial shows the long block made in 1994.  Might have lotsa life in it. Anyone close need wheel weights??!!

Travis, I would give her a good clean up and change out the fluids and filters. Run it for a while and see how it does.

That is what I am thinking.  I will also need to replace one front tire as the sidewall is pretty bad.  Looks like I found ideas for a birthday present from mom and dad.

Ran to the local Napa and ordered a carb rebuild kit which will be here tomorrow.  I will rebuild the carb, pull the tank and clean it, as well as replacing the fuel lines.  Minimal cost involved in that.  This might end up as a dedicated "snowblower" tractor. :D

I gave $400 for it which I think is fair.  Trying to sell the wheel weights to offset some of the cost.  Does that seem right to you?  I missed one up in SD last week that was $275 but was in pieces.

I have two sets so I am unloading one.  Been thinking more about this machine and I am planning on getting it up and going with the intention of using it as it.  I eventually will paint it (like I did with the 120) but that will probably not happen until the Kohler goes south.  At that point it will be a prefect candidate for a repower and some other modification.  Getting it running is my first item of business.

So... I talked to Dad who is going to pick up some new front tars for it and will bring them when he comes out the week of the 17th.  While I have to wait to get them I do get them at cost. :smilewink:   Yesterday I sold the extra set of wheel weights to Deere Green for his 317.  It was nice to meet another member of the forum in person.   That about it on the 314 for now.  I am going to seize the opportunity to work in the garage over the weekend and hope to get the 120 up and running.

Thanks for the weights Travis.  Didn't even get to take them out of the truck last night but lookn' forward to getting them on the 317.  Wonder if we will get one more snow to try them out on?

I am good without snow at this point since the blower is not installed on EITHER non-running tractor. :(

Ok... a bit more to do with the 314 before hitting the 120 tomorrow.  Per Dad's suggestion I am soaking the carb in some kerosene before I tear into it.  He says the the soak will help break down the crap in the carb.

Priorities?  More projects = better :smilewink:

White fury gets paint next month by my cousin in Ohio.  Dad is dragging it back later this month.  This one is a tinker toy that I want to get running.  Once that is done I will decide what to do with it.  I already have the new points/condensor that I removed from the 120 when I did the solid state conversion.  All it needs is a carb kit and a battery to run.  From what I can tell so far the wiring harness is untouched.  As for the repower - I think a 383 is a bit much.   :poke:

Hey ! I need that starter!! :smilewink:
