I wire wheeled the fender pan today. Took forever. I need a sandblaster...or an electrolysis tank. Anyway I got it all cleaned up and put the first coat of primer on it. I also redid the battery box while I had it off. I took a piece of steel out of an old chair and bent it in the shape of the box. I then cut out the old piece out and bolted the new one in because I don't own a welder. Should work fine though.

Looking good. I will tell you a welder is probably one of the most beneficial tools I've got. Well worth the $600 I invested in my little 140 w/gas. It ranks up there with good lighting and a concrete floor... it just changes your whole experience!

Yep, I hope to have it running by Sunday. I put the second coat of paint on those parts today.

Almost done!!!! The dash panel arrived in the mail today so I got the throttle and choke cables hooked up,steering wheel bolted on, and the rubber grommet around the steering wheel in place. I also got the fender pan in place. I need to build or make footrests. Not sure what I am goingto do there. The deck undercarriage was dry enough to put back together, so I got that all together and mounted back on the tractor. The red parts hanging up are the very last ones I have to paint!!! I am goingto pick up the starter tomorrow and I hope to have it running tomorrow afternoon.

It lives!! I picked up the starter this morning and put on the parts that I painted last night. It turned right over but was making a terrible racket around the engine shield. It just turned out the flywheel was hitting on the cover. So I loosened up the bolts and moved it around till it wasen't hitting anymore. After that,it fired right up. So I took it out for a drive. It is almost rattle-free with the new ISO mounts(other than the makeshift muffler). I still need to do some other small things to it: muffler, foot rests,a good seat, and an amp meter.

Well....I guess it wouldn't really be considered a muffler. Straight pipe would be a better word.
