Today I did some assembling. I got the rear wheels installed. I also got the dash pedestal, grill, nose piece and grill screens installed.

I tried to put the gas tank on but the mounts are hitting on the air cleaner. So I think I am goingto haveto cut out a small piece of one of them. Shoudn't be a big deal though. It's a lot better than a cut in the frame.

Been a while since an update. I put the first coat on the last of the white parts.  I also started taking the deck apart. It has a lot of surface rust but there are no spots rusted through. The blades came off terrible. Had to apply quite a bit of heat, but two of them did finally loosen up. The center one won't budge though.

Yup, good luck with that blade! And I hope those spindles are usable... they aren't cheap to replace!

Try heating the nut and melting some candle wax into the threads. Just don't get it so hot you are messing up the bearing seals!

Today I put the second coat of white on the hood, dash and tunnel cover. I got the center blade off with a little more heat and lots of PB blaster. The spindles aren't in good shape. One of the outer spindle's has a hole in it. The keyway is stripped and the pulley is shot in the center spindle. I think I have some out back though.

Man those spindles are rough... The deck itself doesn't look like it's too bad off. It's nice and straight anyway. Still no rust through spots?

None that I could find. I think the PO must have got another deck shell and swapped out the spindles.

Made some progress over the past couple of days. The PTO switch arrived in the mail a couple of days ago and I have been working on the wiring since then. The PO made a real mess of it. I ended up cutting all the covering off to fix the splices and take out unneccesary wires. I wired out the safety switches; hate those things. They go bad at the worst times. I have all the wiring issues taken care of now;hopefully. The starter is away for a rebuild so I will know for sure when I get it back.I finished painting the hood yesterday and installed it. The dash still needs the aluminum panel, but I put it in place to get the hood lined up. I also got the tunnel cover and drive belt put on.

Its coming together now.  This is where I always start to get anxious and want to rush the rest of the build.  Always gotta make myself slow down and take my time.  Looks good Levi.
