woke up at 7am to get around for school feed the dog then i looked out side we had 3+ inches of snow and more was falling but the freezing rain was on its way next.I sent both of my morning teachers email's letting them know that they hadnt plowed the roads around me and went back to bed woke back up around 11am looked out side its was a fine mist coming down it didnt look good my better half says the mail just went (she didnt want to risk going to work) it was a crunchy walk out to the mail box everything has a thin layer of ice on it snow an all. So after a few house chores im gonna make my way to the shop turn the heater on and get back to cleaning as the high of the day is in the high 30's.

Good choice, better safe then sorry. You don't need a recovery bill for being pulled out of the ditch. :(

Safe than sorry is right! What's your life worth you know?

Are you getting the heat on Wed? It's supposed to hit 61*! It's snowing now, I can't wrap my mind around this.

Glad you stayed in, better safe than in a ditch.

They had gotten my roads just before work today, the kids all had a 2 hr delay to give the salt a chance to work.

It's 72 here with a high of 80 today with slight chance of rain today and tomorrow. Wednesday is supposed to turn colder and be in the low 60's day, high 30's night time.

We got high winds right now.

Justt any ol excuse not to go to class.

Our weather has been like a roller coaster this year-I can see why more are getting sick this year.  So you stay home again tomorrow.

Gee Brian, turn colder is the low 60's!

The only time I'm going to see the 60's in the next 3 months is if I close my eyes and remember my childhood!

You did the right thing. Freezing rain is dangerous to drive in. When it's hard to walk to your car because you can't get enough traction then it's too slippery to be on the roads IMO.
