Nice score, Mike! I bet that Haban snowblower works pretty good on the other SS/16

I'm hoping it will. Got to replace all bearings and sprocket's  though.

Went and brought home that other SS16 Twin today. It ain't much to look at but it did run long enough to get it loaded. Needs the usual cleaning of the fuel system and carb. Also came with a weird looking Craftsman trailer. Not very rugged at all. Will have to do some reinforcing. Might work for hauling wood or maybe for garden work. I will post pictures tomorrow here.

The $200.00 SS16 twin. I think the motor is bad so probably going to be a parts tractor. Ser.# is 917.25752 and I have another one that is 917.25751. These must be early 70's?DSCN1452.JPG DSCN1455.JPG

I will be going to look at and more than likely buy that other SS16 twin on Saturday. It's running and "doesn't smoke",comes with some sort of trailer so it has to be worth the $200.00. Watch for pics.

Pics of the newest old ss 16 are on pg.2

Sorry to hear the crank has issues.
At least everything else is still working and it still has spark.

Are you planning to do an overhaul on it?

I'm not sure. I have a nice running twin in the garage on the orange tractor and today the gold one fouled both plugs. Not sure what that means. I worked it very hard plowing this big storm. Plugs were black and had a lot of crap on them. I blew em out and wiped them down and they came back to life. Got to use it to blow snow to my log pile tomorrow so we'll see what it does. I can't afford to rebuild two of them but hate to junk any of those old engines.
