Was recently given a 1971 CG7. Of course with this being a "lawn tractor" it needed some help. With some leftover tires and rims, and an 11hp motor it ended up looking a little more like a garden tractor. Plus it actually pops wheelies now.    Heres some pictures.

Gonna paint it Green to match the Yellow wheels??  Seems to be the Fad!  Wasn't aware there were vertical shaft horses that old. Always thougt the grey Workhorse and maybe Toro models were the only vert ones. Guess I'm still learnin' about Horses!

The tires did a lot for it. Did you leave the pulleys the same? If so, you should have a high speed mower now!

I put on new idler pulleys, but the drive & driven pulleys are the same.  It is a lot faster but it was  terribley slow to begin with.   The short wheelbase and large tires will let me do a wheelie in third gear.  Which i need to stop doing before something snaps in the tranny.

I need to work the dents out of the grill.  she's about ready for cleaning and painting.   Rick

Can't beat the price of free!  Those are the best ones to get!

I like the look of the bigger tires on there.  Really sets it off nicely!
