I would say it most likely came with a seat  like in  old buzzards 800 pic.

The white seat you have looks to be the style commonly used on the Bolens Ride-a-Matic and walk behind attachments ( 50's)

 

I forgot you had this tractor!

 

Any chance you want to sell?? :D :poke:

that seat looks to be the same style speedex used as the three i have look like the one you got on the tractor when you bought it the speedex seats use a single carriage bolt and small tabs underneath to keep it in line , as the seat you have has been modified those tabs may be gone from drilling the mounting holes . :D
