It proves that some people in PA have to much
time on there hands. I have a lot of things that
need repainted, but...... never mind.

I have said before that I think John Deere colors are what most people repaint tractors of others brand with.  I think it must be the cool color combination.

I guess they didnt like the original white colors? (red/grey) so they picked out another obvious brand

I think it's usually a lame attempt to get John Deere prices out of lesser equipment from un-knowing buyers.

He wanted a Deere, but couldn't afford one. Sure looks alot like my Lumber Yard L130 deere, including the manual lift on blade!

Sort of a "visual aid" and might help sell better??

Does that mean that my PK in Moline colors (see avatar) and my GT14 Wheel horse in brown and MM Yellow aren't to your liking??

Why be just "another" tractor in brand, when you can have something diff?  To Each his Own!

My brother in-law works at a Farm Equipment yard, says the gravity/grain bins which are not JD sell better when they're painted green.

I know I've had better luck selling john deere then any others.

Fact is it looks better  :D  , even looks like a JD, until you look really good. But as other said not many would know the difference.

yes john deere green brings in the green. i was at an auction and there were 2 - 6 foot bush hogs a green one and a black one, the green one was in pretty bad shape and sold for $450, i got the black one for $175 great shape, funny thing though the green one was not a deere but the black one was, next time i sell anything it will be green!!!!!!!!

It's funny his excuse for  painting  it JD colors."The paint was faded."

I've had thousands of people come in to my shop for a repaint, and hardy ever a one wanted the color changed just because the paint was faded.

I think sometimes personal preference enters into it? While I do like Cub Cadets, Yellow is a color I'm not at all fond of.

I would be inclined if I had a Cadet to paint it IH Red.

To each his own. Every person has a right to do with their equipment as they wish. Whether it is paint it a different color or sell it for parts. We all may not agree with it but it is their right.

I personally don't care for it and if they are doing it to get more money out of unknowing purchasers than it should be a crime.
