Only a couple days left!!!!!!!  I went outside tonight to make sure everything was a go with the Massey 1855.  It started up and instantly began skipping and then shut off.  After searching down the problem the carburetor float was full of fuel.  Luckily I had another one laying around.  I installed the other float and everything seems good; I am so glad this didn't happen at the field.

P.S.  All you guys in the South need to show up so we can have a show as big as the show in Pa. (They had a ton of tractors show up even in the rain)

Take 3 Ibuprofins & hit the road Willie!  Betchya if ya did, you'd have a great time!  If I could afford the gas & take the time off, I'd make the trip!

I would love to but a ride that far in Christine would put me in in the hospital. All I can do is slowly exercise it till the spasms stop. All the muscle relaxers that I have been given made me sick as a dog. Been doing too much lately. Mowing nearly 6 acres in 2 days was the final nail in the coffin. Too much bouncing around.

I have planned and truly want to go, but it just isn't going to happen this year.  I have a make-up class that was supposed to happen last weekend get pushed to this weekend and not only am I (along with everyone else) behind in the class, but I've got a multipage, multi format paper due (instuctor wants it written out AND in powerpoint) plus I've had so much schoolwork I haven't been able to finish getting my second tractor ready.  Look forward to hearing about it and seeing pictures.

I understand the bouncing & such.  6 hours chisel plowing last week has me sore still, and my knees are still complaining loudly.   Pain killers is what makes me sick in my stomach, so I just rather feel the pain as to be nauseated by any of the pills.

I also got the deck hung up in the neighbors ditch and had to pick the back of the Hemorrhoid up and move it over about 8 inches to free it up. First time I have ever mowed that ditch and didn't know its topography - it has a weird bow in the center of it. That didn't help much.

I had a friend of mine send me a pic of water running through the field this afternoon so I doubt there will be much plowing done this weekend, if there is........it will DEFINITELY be MUDDY.........lol  I was loaded up and headed that way when he called me and told me to go back home.  I had made it about 50-60 miles when i turned around.  From the looks of the pics, I am glad that I did.  Oh well......maybe next year.

Kenny, the fat lady ain't sung yet. We've bought fuel, food, hotel rooms, and traveled 2.5 hrs to plow, so by gosh were gonna plow. And if we can't, we're sure gonna have a plow tractor show and maybe a couple tug of wars. Hopefully no 430's will break any rears.
  • KennyP said thank you
