Where do i check hydro fluid level and fill? in a cub 1450. it is throught that top cover held on by 4 bolts?

The oil fill and check are 2 in one. There is a plug about halfway up the back plate on the rearend. Fill through this plug till it starts running out.

It should have IH Hytran fluid in it.  If you don't want to use their brand then you need to get hydraulic/transmission fluid.  I reccomend the regular IH fluid from a CaseIH dealer as the OEM fluid used in them is formulated to absorb water better than the generic fluid you get at Napa or TSC.
