Daniel, I was almost afraid to stop and do that. But, I got the strap over it before it could jump back out.

Now to get it out of the PU. Steve and I can lift it, but not that far. No ditch here to back into. Think I'll have to make some temporary ramps out of treated lumber with a 2 X 4 screwed to the back to get it out. But it will have to warm up some out there to do that.

I have looked it over some. The back wheels are in great shape unlike the ones on the first tractor. Deck seems to be okay. The pulleys on the mule drive need replaced/new bearings. Amp gauge is toast, needle is gone. Of course, fluid change in the rear axle again.

The drive shaft on this one has only 2 bolts, the other one has 4 bolts. So this may be an 18 or 24. I'll have to look at the model # on it. The PO had a Kohler engine on it and had cut about 4" out of the grille support for the left side. I'll see if I can find some tube to weld back in there. I got 2 nice head light lenses as extras for it. Can't say much more right now until I get it off the truck.

Kenny, just leave it in the truck, until you get the trailer done.

Then roll it down the trailer ramp, on to the trailer.

In the meantime, you've got weight in the truck, in case it snows, and

the cool factor too.

Nice find there, Kenny.  That ought to keep ya busy.

I sometimes use a come-a-long to pull them into my truck, you probably could do the same to get it out.  just hook a strap between the 2 post holes in the top rail of the bed and hook a come a long to that. Push it back by hand till it starts to go down your ramp, then use the come a long.   a little safer than trying to just lift-pull them out.

I always have to re-hook to finish pulling it in....have an extra safety strap handy to temp. hook it while you re-rig the come a long.

The idea of a pedal power GT is interesting. It would sure beat the treadmill.

I have a buddy that has garden tractor that he built into a pedal tractor, looks like a Sears SS model,  I will try to find some pics.

Kenny, nice grab! Those things are non-existant around these parts. If you find one, they are big $$$$$

How far away was this one?

Just a few blocks from where I am working on the trailer, 1/2 to 3/4 miles.

I gave a bit more than I would like to, but I got a 42" deck and mule drive for it. I may make this one the mowing tractor with the sleeve hitch. Use the other one for pushing & plowing. with a 3-point on it.
