I like baking breads , especially in my bread machine , and I like it to rise at least to the top of the pan...

Well I have confirmed that RedStar Yeast is rubbish !! I have tried everything to get it to perform and it lets me down EVERY SINGLE TIME !! Dang this stuff!! Fleshmanns seem to work the best for me with Hodgson Mills running a close second .

Anyone else have this issue ??

Is this a trick? Am I supposed to yell over my shoulder and ask my wife if she ever had a problem with yeast? That's not happening, Keith. I like my body parts where they're at right now, thanks.

That is very quick and funny of you. :beerchug:  :bigrofl:  :bigrofl:  :bigrofl:  Good one.

I bake my own when I can.  Traditional, kneading waiting for the rise.  I haven't tried the read star.  Fleishman's is the only one I have used.  My problem is the rise stages.  I usually am to impatient  and get too dense a loaf.  It takes alot of time.  Dad uses the machine with great results.
