Opened up what I thought was an Onan BF-MS because of vibration. What I actually have is an P216 short block with BF-MS heads, fly wheel etc. The fly wheel has been welded over the key way (source of vibration?) . I have another fly wheel from an BF-MS. The BF has 3.125 bore, the P216 has 3.250. Am considering changing fly wheel and heads now. All internal parts match and are as should be. Removed gear cover and gear timing is correct. Wondering what parts are compatible? Have been told B43m parts will work also. This is a good running engine with 130# compression on both cyl, but has a funky little vibration. PO said He bought it this way. Thanks for any help.

Parts will interchange from a lot of the Onan engines. The flywheel is negatively balanced, so not being in the keyway spot won't change the balance, but if it isn't sitting square on the taper, that could cause some vibes. B43 parts do interchange as well as many parts of the B48.
