Gas running $2.99 to $3.39 stations all within 3 miles of each other, off road diesel $3.73 @ the farm distributor yesterday and road diesel $4.12 @ Pilot station by the highway. As noted above we can complain but my relatives in Canada have been a lot higher for 30 some years now. Tires, batteries, milk ALL higher there . :(  Well, milk is higher everywhere except when it comes to the farmer, just like here...

It's beyond me why diesel is more expensive than gas though.  I know, I know, the gov't want to discourage us from using diesel because it hurts the environment, blah, blah, blah.

And sadly we all pay the price, weather we like it or not, as just about anything we buy moves by a diesel truck. Real eye opener is to look under a "new" diesel truck, you would be amazed of all the emission equipment. Funny how across the pond diesel cars and trucks are the norm. Just two years ago you couldn't buy a new diesel powered car in MA, couldn't pass emissions. :mad2:

Here in Mt Pleasant, regular is 3.30 ish. Drive 15 miles any direction, save a nickel to a quarter.

In Raleigh, there has been an odd pattern.  Around the election, prices started falling, and hit $3.15 at the lowest I saw.  However, shortly before Christmas, prices started inching up and are back around 3.35 to 3.40.
