All were made by Quick Manufactoring.  The models with plastic fenders were called Farmcrest.  You will find the serial number on a small tin tag that has a bolt running thru it.  It will be the 2nd bolt that runs thru the mount for the seat.  If its not there......it will be hard to tell but not impossible.  For example, my 1964 Springfield 36 says "64TE-6" which means its a 1964, Tractor, and the E means it came with electric start.  The "6" at the end means it came with a 6hp engine.

Here is a pic of mine......

If you have any questions about Springfields there are a few on here that collect them.  I know my fair share but the member that literally knows everything there is to know about Springfields is Casey (wvbuzzmaster)

Post a pic and I will identify the year.

As for the fiberglass fenders they were on all of them, not just the Farmcrests.

wasnt the fiberglass fenders on the 64 and on up? If it has the original engine, check the serial number on the engine, if it is missing, pull the engine shroud off and look at the flywheel. should be cast there IF it is the original engine. I have 2 model 36's and a LT525. there are several knowledgablepeople on here that can help!

Thanks everyone. The seat and mounting spring are missing and I guess serial plate too. I'll do some more investigating. The engine might be original but the fuel tank is mounted on the engine  it had a starter at one time I see by the paint that it was taken off and still has a solinoid under dash. I'll try to put some pictures on . Thanks again everyone Bill
