Being mostly computer illiterate, I haven't tried any of those freeware things. I don't

like to mess too much with my machine. Any advice appreciated.

Hi Bill,

it was just an example for translating programs. We all know, that screwing has many minds, but the american english and the german are totally different. Screwed, meant as drunken, doesn't exist in german.

But I hve the same problems as the guys :D

:rolling:  :rolling:

Thanks for the german lesson JD.

It sure is a challange trying to translate some of those old German

technical terms. I asked my mother for help, reading a shop manual

for the Elf. She just scratched her head. Mind you it's been 60 years since

she left Germany, so her german is a bit rusty.

I hope, I'm not "Mr. Know-it-all" now :biting_nails: and please send greetings to your mother.

If you want, you can send me the pdf's and I'll try to translate.

ok i just went into google drive to figure out how to translate pdf's.

before you upload your PDF , click on the gear on the right and go to upload settings and click on ( convert to google docs )

1- go to google drive

2-upload the pdf you want to translate

3-open pdf by clicking on it

4-click on file and go to open with and chose google docs

5-click on tools at top and chose translate

6-chose language  and click on translate

that should do the trick

hope this helps

Absolutely not JD. I was just chuckling about the besoffen thing.

Thanks for the offer to translate, but I'm sure you wouldn't want to

tackle the pile of literature I've downloaded. There must be 500 pages.

I'll try the google drive approach below.
