Sorry to hear you broke it, Doug. But you know it will pull a plow now. Those are good pics of it getting down and dirty!

Doug, sorry to hear your tractor broke, hope you have some spare parts.

Great to see the farmall with the disc plow, would have liked to see a bit more of that one in action.

Was that Ryan on the Massey?  Boy is getting lanky!

Casey, so how did you like using that disc plow?  Are you going to give us a separate thread for the report?

I am back home, got back around 11 pm last night and was about to post that I had made it home when I woke up on the couch this morning lol. So... I am home LOL. We all had our fun and aside from breakdowns (I had some problems too) we all had an excellent time and are thankful to all the hosts, being the Alsdorfs and then the Steadmans. I think I had more fun at the Steadman farm just because we were pretty well secluded and didn't have the commotion of the big tractors. I know this, it was all fun and the breakdowns continued with Alan's tractors, which were getting well deserved work outs from Doug, George, and George. Of course I think I had the most fun once we took what was left of the GT's into the woods in an attempt to break another LOL.

I liked the disk plow a lot better than a moldboard plow, of course the soil can't be rocky or you would probably end up skipping rocks all day. But there was good soil to plow at the Alsdorf's and the Cub did an excellent job turning the soil over. I have video of it plowing on my camera too so there will be more uploads of it.

Oh, additionally, the Cub is a hair slow to play with the big boy tractors and a hair fast to play with the GT's but it was all enjoyable.

Today I am planning to fix some of the issues I had at plow day on the Caterpillar, Cub had zero problems. Dad and I talked on the way home and I think the issue on the Caterpillar is fuel pump placement and I will try relocating it to the frame rail (below the tank) and make it push the fuel to the engine and see if that makes it start faster and better. I am also going to bend the belt guide that let the belt by a few times when I had the clutch pressed. At least the belt was easy to put back on the idler the 3 times I had to yesterday.

The vacuum pumps push a lot better than they pull!

Never really considered the pump placement since it has always ran fine, but I guess that doesn't always make it right lol. I need to see what I have for fuel line and get busy.

Casey I missed seeing you plow in the sod but I'm impressed after seeing the video what a good job it did. We did have a few mechanical problems yesterday. Mine has something to do with the rear end. It started acting like it was locked in, but it should have been free wheeling. We'll take it apart this week and see what's wrong. I am very good at tearing things apart, it's what to do with the extra parts when you put it back together.
