That one looks a bit different than the other one he bought before.  Is this one older?  It seems odd too with the dually wheels on it compared with just the standard wheels.

I have to say I've never seen any thing like that before but the ID tags dont lie...

Anyone have any info on this one?

Its got to be early 50's judging by the paint and decals...

Will be back in an hour... Going to go through my Bolens literature and see what comes up.....

Well this is quite interesting!

Its actually an accessory for the Bolens Gardener walkbehind!

So this is actually just a Gardener with the tiller mounted on it....

Maybe not... Looks different than in the ad

I contacted the seller asking to give the Model on the ID tag.... Because right now we have an un identified species!

I'm wondering if some of it was modified such as the engine???......

Looks a little awkward with that huge engine and tiny wheels :D

Doc  from what I see It looks like a ( M-E) Tiller (Milwaukee Electric) If he is close on the year it maybe when Bolens bought M-E and they hadn't started making the Bolens tags yet so they stuck one Bolens label on the tiller itself. If you look at the red tag on the handle that looks like the M-E logo in the center of the tag.

The thing that made me check into this was the frame and the gear box. It is the same as my M-E 16 front tine tiller.

 I bet it might be a  model B16 W4-1/2,

FMC  bought M-E in 51 then the Bolens division took them over in 55. After 55 the models started with a BA in front of the number.

My Book Says it was made in 1958 and the engine was a BKN 7HP So we know everything is original now.

If you google 2076 Bolens tiller I got a hit on another one with serial number 3437 so apparently there are still a few out there alive and kicking.

Having spent a good chunk of change on the last tiller with shipping expense, I think I will sit back and just watch this one.....

I just fixed the link it wasn't working. Also looks like someone changed the tank. That is not a Wisconsin tank, it looks like it is from a Briggs?

I have one badged as an M-E and one badged as Bolens by FMC. They were both red. M-E was actually Milwaukee Equipment.

I say the tank is right I have seen other BKNs with that tank.
