Steve johnson picked this up for me on friday.

I am calling the shipping place on monday I hope to have it by the end of the month.

 

I have to thank Steve for takeing the time to do this for me I hope I can do the same for him someday down the road.

But I think I'll leave her as she looks right now Steve said the guy started it with one try.

So all I need to do is put it back togather and I can drive it.

congrats there Jerome....had i known about these machines a month earlier, i would have been all over that thing when the ad came out! hopefully i can get one mostly complete from the 2 i am going to get.

From what I have recenty read, that would be a 1946.....the only year FMC made it as a "Bean Cutler". FMC & Bolens consolidated and made rhe Bolens RideMaster starting in 1947.

You have a nice piece of history. Good luck with your restore project.

That is an excellent purchase, Jerome.
I'm glad you were finely able to get one.

According to the information that I have, that originally would have had a flat belt drive on it but was most likely re-called and switched to the 3-V belts.
I see it still has the cable steering though.

 

I wish I could find the pulleys to put the cable  steering back on mine.

I got my new Lawn and Garden Collector Magazine and it has a very nice read about your Bean Cutler.
