When I get time, I'll install the winch in the box. Not sure when that will be.

Looks good on there Kenny.

Put  decals on the sides of the box......."Caution Landmines"

And just use your heel, to make a few divits around the trailer.

Got the winch mounted in the box today. It's all set up and ready to go,

Plenty of room for straps and such.

Here's the first pull:

Looks great Kenny. Another fine project you done there.

You could make up some sort of tray that sits on some tabs.

For hitch pins, and other little trinkets.

That way, the box won't get piled too deep with stuff.

I picked up 2 new tires for the trailer today. Ordered them from Wally World online. 8PR ST225/75D15 size. We'll see how they hold up soon!

Aaron's Dad (Herman) had one of his 700-15 tires on the trailer when I bought it. He would like it back, which he will get. I asked if he had a spare wheel to replace that one and he brought over 3 that will make a full set of matching wheels for the trailer. I will be sanding them and painting before I put tires on them. Going with the Hammered Gray for the wheels. Think that will look good. One of these days, I want to paint the trailer so it looks better.

Steve got a wild hair going and the wheels are ready for tires once I get valve stems for them.

Awesome project Kenny very informative. I'm sitting on my porch drinking coffee with the higher 60's tonight & read your whole thread. I too like the idea of the winch box. That is a nice trailer build. I had the same plan but I'm not sure if I can use the truck tool box either.

As far as the winch/tool box, I just got lucky in finding that 3/8" plate for the floor of it. The truck boxes are just too wide and hinder turning radius. And the prefab square boxes are too big for the area you have to put it. If you were closer, I can still get that 3/8" plates for a bottom, but shipping might cost a bit.

Edit: I have two more wheels to paint, but they are still on the trailer.
