"Air filter Dual element, dry type with cleanable outer element and replaceable inner safety element".
Looking on the web I find the above statement about the air filter system on a NH TD 75. There were no details given on that page pertaining to the procedure of cleaning the outer element. If anyone on the site has that info. I'd sure appreciate you sharing it with me. Thanks, SandburRanch

Please change the outer filter at the recommended intervals in the service manuals, DO NOT clean as you may damage the filter media and cause dirt to enter the air intake system.
You do have a secondary filter to protect the engine should the primary filter have a failure. These are safety filters and only for backup should the primary filter have a failure. The secondary filter should be changed at every other service of the air filtration system.
Hope this help engine and dirt do not mix.
