i have a 318 that had a b43g onan. i repowered it with a kholer k301, but now im going to put a f206 continental straight six in it.   so my question is does any body know what the max hp rating for the hydros are, i know that the max rpm is 4000.

I don't believe that their is a max horsepower rating.. The Sundstrand hydros have a pressure relief valve in them so it will only use so much power, hp rating of the motor driving it it really doesn't matter just so it is big enough to do the job.

I believe in factory settings, around 24 to 25HP is all they can put to use.

I'm very interested to see the results. Seems like a fun project.
