I am trying to get my HB112 operational again.  I've repaired the leaks at the control pintles and have the Vickers T66X reinstalled.  While I was bleeding the system, I noticed there is a lot of slop in the control system: a large movement of the handle is required before the control pintle begins to move.  I traced it to the double ended ball joint (5/16"), which of course is NLA.  Has anyone fought this battle & found a working solution?

This item was also used on the Landlord, Baron & Sovereign series tractors.

I'd make the thing out of two generic balljoints with female ends and a piece of threaded rod. I'll look for a supplier. Try this : http://baileynet.com...ategory=1000055

Joining two was my idea also. Would become a little wider tho and might have to cut some stock off to bring tighter?  Maybe a tack weld would work if done quick?  That was some inventors dream for sure,ha!

I don't know if you can find a replacement or not, I've never seen one like that anywhere I've looked. Take two regular ball joints, cut them down to the size you need and weld together. First cut the cut the rubber/plastic dust cover off, you will lose it anyway while welding. After parts are together, use a zip tie to secure the dust boot. Should last along time.

That was my thought....Go to McMaster Carr website and look at tie-rod ends. Get 2 that fit your need, cut them shorter to fit your GT, weld and be happy!
