Ha Rick, not meaning to hijack the trhread but what kind of price are y'all having to pay for kerosene, that is if you remember, The reason I ask is I got myself a kerosene heater with the K1 going at $11.00 a gallon, so I don't know if I am keeping the heater or not.

Dick

It was 30 years ago. Kerosene was under a dollar a gallon then. In those days kero and diesel were usually cheaper than gas. I think diesel is about $4.20 and kero is almost $5.00. Just before the blizzard the price of gas jumped $0.14 to $3.91. I use solar and wood for heat. Hopefully Jeff has found the problem by now.

Rick,

Does your GT have a variable drive or is it hydrostatic?

After working on other people's stuff for the past four or five weekends, I had a chance to work on the old White.  I got it sorted out and determined what was in it for oil was questionable.

The volume was extremely low.  Remarkably, there was no water present.

Here she is out for a test run to stir things up so I could drain out any loose deposits.  Now I need to locate a replacement filter.  I was very surprised that the part number on the oil filter was still visible.

Thanks for all the input and encouragement guys.

Jeff

Thanks for the follow up. That picture says it all.

The smile is the very essence of why we all do this hobby. We've all had that exact same smile on our face.

Hey, the red looks great. I like the contrast. Glad to see she's rolling again.

Got a good looking blade on there! From the smile you have, I'd say it works pretty good. Thanks for sharing!
