Well all day yesterday I was in the white stuff from about noon when it hit where I was at in Girard PA, then continued as I made my way thru Millcreek, peninsula, Harborcreek....and all the way back to buffalo.  When I got home, (bout 40mins North of Buff), there was about 3-4 inches of snow.  The misses had called hrs earlier to tell me the house smelled of gas.  What I found was that a couple weeks ago when I moved the Ariens up front to the garage for the winter, it seems that the float had stuck in the carb and was allowing gas to free flow....so, I took the carb off and went out back to the shop to rip it down.  It sure was dirty.  Anyway...so i cleaned out the driveway, Ariens running great and then woke up this morn to 10+ inches and did it again.  Runs great, no leaks, snow is sticking in the auger tho because I never sprayed it  :wallbanging: !! Hows everyone elses snowfall??...it stopped for a bit here....now its back at it again....

Getting ready to head out now to make the first passes on the driveway so I can head off to work, looks like 4" and still coming down petty hard, hope it stays snow and doesn't change over to sleet and rain.  The snow blower does not like that!!

I'd say I'm looking at about 5-6" of heavy but not wet snow.  It has the consistency of sand and it is still coming down pretty hard.  I need to catch it just before the change over to rain, but the rain snow line is just south of us and hasn't moved in an hour, so timing will be tricky.  I let the dogs out to do their business this morning and I had to rescue the little black one that came with my son from Korea and has never seen snow like this before.  She made it down the steps off the deck but couldn't get back up.

Sounds like yours was real close to being just sleet. Glad you got the little one back inside.

Ditto!  Makes me wonder why I ever left Southwest Florida.  Oh yeah, I remember now.  It was the hurricanes, no wait.  It was from all those years busy tending to others homes right up till the hurricane was hitting, then not being able to flee because there was no time left.

We started out with snow yesterday morning but it had already turned to freezing rain about the time I was getting out of bed.  Although it's cold today, I can see the ice melting off the trees in the sunshine.
