I recently came across this odd looking thing on a farm and have aquired it. I never knew porter cable made such tractors. It looks like it is mostly complete and i am not sure how many might still be out there. This will be my next project.

If anyone has information on this little guy i would be pleased to see some. I cant find much over the internet except motomower bought the product line. I still have not found one that is similar to this one.

Thanks for looking!

I haven't seen a lot of info on them. But one just like that came up for sale on CL in my area a few months ago, I still kick myself for not getting it!

I know a lot of people at the time said they had never even heard of one.

that looks to be in great shape.

Congrats on the find! and good luck with it.

Who knows maybe I will be able to track down some info on them while I do my searches.

Great score, I know a good bit about em, and if the transmission is good, you got something worth restoring. Good luck with it.

What ever you do don't let that tractor get away from you. You could charm the scales off a snake with that little guy. Makes me smile every time I look at it.

There was one on our CL for a month before it sold this week. He was asking $200. There are 2 pictures on that thread from 23NOV12. Here's the link http://gardentractor...r-in-groton-ct/ This is the first I heard of Porter Cable Tractors and yours is the second. That's pretty rare. Good Luck

Personally I like the unusual and this certainly qualifies..
Nice find glad it didn't end up in a scrap yard.
