Several years ago, I ended up with a couple of DB walk-be-hind tractors with some attachments. I did not know about this website, and I had no need for these. I advertized them on CL, but no one in a 100 mile radius wanted the stuff for any price.
I ended up hauling it to the scrap yard, and am ashamed of myself for doing it, but I needed the stuff out of the yard.
Here are some pictures of the goodies I had. If you guys want to "tongue lash' me, go ahead, as I am prepared to take it.

Dont be too hard on yourself,
I think most of can relate in one way or another.
It pains me to say this, but before I began collecting Bolens I ended up chucking a few Bolens walkbehind/ ride-a-matic attachments my grandfather originally had laying around quite a few years ago before I knew there were others out there that still collected them.

I don't think that's coal he's chucking.

I have also been guilty. Of course when you can't give it away, and it needs to go... what do you do?

I have several Old MH tractors that we thought we'd be fixing by now... Hope I can get ahead of father time and get some running again.

A very simple Question. WHY did you have to get them out of your yard?

I have been there also. I scrapped a 50" mower deck from my Cub. :wallbanging: :hitting_self_roller: I now kick myself when I see the prices of a good deck.

A very simple Question. WHY did you have to get them out of your yard?

I had packed 4 trailer loads of "stuff" from a guy to my back yard. I used some of the treasurers, and junked some other stuff. I tried to hang on to some of the things I thought might be worth something (to me and others), but it didn't work out that way.
The yard was filling up with non-usable items and I couldn't keep the weeds down well enough so I just got rid of the DB things.
I try to keep the properety respectable looking, and if the bank comes to look at their house, they would want it looking nice too! :bigrofl:

Stuff happens
I've been lucky and only lived two places in my entire life so I've not had to sell out or move since I became a collector/hoarder. With that said, I been thinking I need to downsize some since I know I will never get to all those projects that have followed me home. I may be doing some scrapping myself in the not too distant future. The tractors that sit outside just rot down so fast there is no need to keep them around.
