Lots of good valuable tips above  , covered most anything that I thought of.  I think plowing is one of those "Arts" that you just get better at every time you do it.  Some years we get lots of practice, some years we have lots of patience :smilewink: .

over the years ive learned different tricks depending on the tractor i was using at the time. which way to angle the blade and also how far back to push so i have room when we get more snow the first yr plowing i think the pile i made were close to 4ft high only cause i didnt push it far enough back to allow room for more snow. I have since learned a couple tricks to make sure i have enough room now.

I found that getting a proper speed was a trail and error for me to get the snow to roll over it self .My driveway is paved/gravel. The city dosen't like you pushing any snow on the road so I push from the road back and get out the walk behing blower to move the snow over the back fence.
