It starts and runs great, has a mower deck with it too. A little rough but a cool gt none the less. Merry Christmas!

Now if you would just buy a red one to go with it, then you'd have great Christmas colors! Nice looking 140.

The 140 is a very heavy duty GT. Way to go!

Congratulations! Gotta love the JD 140, I know I did for the 20 or so years I had one. And I can testify it's a hard worker.

very nice jd 140, now all you have to do is convince her about all the jd stocking stuffers you will need, i have a jd 140 h3 awaiting refit, tell me to mind my own bussiness if you"d like but would you mind telling how much money it cost, i know you wont be able to put a price on how much payback to your wife will cost ha ha ha!!! i just like to know for referance, i have actually made a deal buying a tractor from someone who wanting too much as he was told it was worth a fortune i showeed him the ad on gttalk and we ended up making a deal, a guy up here in ontario has one a little rougher than yours but he said he would part with it for $900 thanks farmer john

Congrats on the new 140. Used JD prices are sometimes ridiculous. A 140 would fetch a large price here. I have never seen one. There are a fair number of the 300 series and the occasional 110 but no 140's yet. I like the 140 styling better than the 300 series.

Congrats on the purchase. Thanks for the pictures! From what I have been told, the 140 rear end is basically the same rear end that is in my bush hog HD-12 with a few differences.

Here is the easy way to check out the year of production and options. The only catch might be if the tag has been swapped.

Nice find. I may have to have your wife talk to mine as my wife thinks there is an issue when the trucks sit outside because there are to many tractors in the garage for them to fit. Merry Christmas.

Sounds like the issue is the need for a bigger garage!
