Just to add a little twist to the equation....the stock lift motor set up actually runs off 18 volts....yeah, I know the motor is 12 volts, but I guess GE figured 18 volts would compensate for the underpowered 12 volt motor.

Some guys ( not me ) run them off 24 volts. I think that would seriously shorten the motor life.

Some guys ( again, not me ) have rigged up an ATV winch to replace the lift.

If you could find the super rare 36 volt New Idea lift setup like Doug has, that would be ideal I think.

Small 36 volt forklift motors are pretty pricey, and tough to find...

Option 5 is very tempting ( I may give that a whirl myself )

Option 6 is standard for all elec-trak owners. ( I'm out on a long weekend pass for Xmas )

just my 2 cents...

Good Luck !

I have been wondering what #6 has to do with the electrak... See, I've met Casey & IDT The Big Yellow Battery Hauler has much bearing on Casey's state of mind... or where he should hang up his jacket (regular or straight) :poke:

Just kidding KC, you dont have any more loose threads up there than the rest of us.

Have you made any headway on what you are planning?

I have one thing up my sleeve. As far as I know it is still in testing stages, but I hope to know more after the holidays. Right now I need to get the progress going again on the e20, which is on holiday hold right now as well. I hope to get it all figured out and driving around before plow day.
