Don't know if it's a good price or not, but might be something you guys that do Diesel conversions might be interested in.

What a score for a diesel repower. Rare to see new ones like that and the price is probably low for a neew engine but still a major investment.

Wow, that's pretty good on the price! Although I suppose you'd have to sink more into things like radiators and cooling fans. I've had my eye out for a Briggs Vanguard 14 or 16 horizonal twin, new is running 800-1000.

That is exactly the same engine that I just installed in my Bolens GT2000. They are used in APU's in the trucking business. So far it has been a very impressive engine. Starts far easier than my Kubota engines. For a brand new engine that seems to be a very fair price. Keep your eyes open for these APU's as they can be had very cheap on the used market. I've heard of them going for as little as $100 and I purchased 2 for $400.00. Because of their compact size the radiators and engines are a natural for GT use.

The nice thing about these units is that they come with a very compact radiator, 65 amp alternator, all the wire you could ever need, and electric fan motor. The down side is the limited horse power. I would not hesitate to put one of these into a GT used for a loader.

Yes, as when using my Massey with 20hp Onan & putting the loader to work, I rarely use over 1/2 throttle, so likely not using over 12hp.
