Can someone post a picture of how the spring is supposed to be mounted to the left side foot pedal?

Here's how mine are mounted.

My spring is there, but not attached to anything that would fix the pedal in position for cruise control.

Much appreciated.

Ref, item #151 p/n 1892 435 in parts breakdown.

Is there a hole in the frame rail somewhere below the heel portion of the pedal?

After reading through the hydro trans adjustment/replacement manual, it states you must unhook that spring before removing the fender pan. So is there a spot straight back to the fender that it could hook to?

The spring on mine was long gone when I got it, and I never found an answer when I tried researching it. From the looks of the spring on yours, it looks like it might just hook under the front lip of the seat pan after it is installed? But if there is tension pulling the back of the pedal down, it seems that the cruise would no longer work (my understanding is that the pedal should rest on the round disk).

I'll be keeping an eye on this thread to see what information is revealed on this topic!!

Ya, I'm guessing you're right. It just hooks to the lip of the seat pan. When you take your foot off cruise control, it has enough tension to lift the pedal off of the disc.
