Won a Commando 8 on epay for $50! Won't know what I got till I go get. It's not far from me. Is this same tractor as B-80 or smaller? The wheels looked kinda small on back.

I can't imagine being grumpy after a deal like that! My B-80 had 12"rims with smaller tires, not 26. Ummmh... maybe 23s.

Got the tractor today, still on the trailer and dark, so No pix yet. Will have to start it later, needs jump. PO said it will go. Carb looks clean. One front and rear tire flat too, gotta get new front one, has big rip in it. Back one has tube, but big crack/rip on side of it also, so may be finding diff ones. 10" wheels. 8" wide tires.

Update! Well, got her rolled off trailer and over to garage to try to start. Rear flat took air, but front is shot. Battery not a lick of charge. Jumped it, no start action with key, durn! Bypassing to starter made it crank some. No spark tho. Looked at wiring in dash. Seemed kinda melted at switch. Finally realized there was a bypass safety switch on the brake/clutch. Pressed that, got my spark, and when cranked it popped off! Darn girl runs real nice and no smoke or nothing. Starts instantly with jumper batt. Took her for a ride some and most gears worked, but 3rd pops out instantly unless I hold lever over. Didn't make gear noises tho. Let it run awhile hoping for Batt charge, but not going to happen, it's gone! Drove her around to house garage and rolled her in for now, till xmas junk is put away and Mama want's car back in there. Runs and steers nice, even with that front flat that Stayed on wheel the whole time! :beerchug:

Good deal! Glad you got it running.
I'm sure the guys on the other forum you visit (WH's exclusive) will be able to shead some light on the transmission problem.
Sounds like that front tire is going to be a tough one to break down!

Looks and sounds great, engine runs. I had a Commando 800, let it go to someone in "need."

Mine had (has) 10" rims on the rear, one reason for letting the Commando leave. I have a few

sets of spare 12" rims with tires mounted.
